| These are undeniably some hot looking boots! I buy boots that are different than others and esthetically beautiful. These hit those marks 100%. You cant see it in the pics but there is thankfully! a zipper that goes up the back of these. Because I have high arches, I ordered a 1/2 size larger than usual and boy, that was the right way to go! If you plan on wearing socks with these, go up a half size. If you have a high arch, go up a 1/2 size. If you have wide calves, these arent for you unless they sell ones specifically for wide calves. Those leather strings pictured are actually shoe laces; not leather strings. The sole has ZERO tread so not recommending traversing ice fields or snowy driveways in these. If you are considering adding an inside sole for added comfort, go up at least 1/2 size. Oddly I had no problem getting the left boot on the foot that is usually the harder one to fit. The right foot was much tighter and was difficult to zip up. I wore them unzipped for a bit to stretch these out enough for the zipper to not be forcibly zipped up. All and all, I really like these because they are absolutely great looking boots but they are not practical for winter wear and they do run small. | |
