I’m 5’10 160 pounds waist size 30 and I bought the XXL and I like the fit better and it doesn’t smash the jewels. I received my trunk’s and the brass ring was like this out of the bag? Loved the color but yet the where to small and I got a large size. I think it’s the inside liner that makes it to small to fit. Great trunks. Comfortable, stretchy fabric is easy to swim in. Sizes run close to the chart (not necessarily the size you might usually wear, so measure before you order). I got a Large and Im 5 7" 150lbs (usually a Med and sometimes even a Sm). I am very happy with the fit and fabric. Perfect length. Long enough to wear to a family pool but dont hang down to my knees. Very happy! I swam in these as soon as I got them and they are exactly what I hoped for. Love the color I got but Im going to order a few more in different colors. Much better than swimming in regular loose trunks. They dry very quickly. I take them off, wring them out and put them back on. Then I can practically dry them with my towel instantly. Great trunks. It is a little challenging to keep the drawstring from twisting in the waistband. Not hard to fix, but I wish the drawstring would stay flat. We will see how well they hold up to chlorine and salt. So far the salt hasnt caused any problems. I have only worn them in a chlorine pool once or twice. I avoid brushing up against the pool wall or deck.
