As far as their capacity to withstand sun and ocean-water, we’ll have to see. I think it should be noted that they are very tight. If you don’t want them riding up your crevices, I’d recommend ordering a size larger than the chart suggests.

These are extremely lightweight shorts. I haven’t gone swimming in them yet, but that is my intended application. The cut and style are very attractive on a man, I look really good in them. I decided to order another set, one size up, because the tightness was a little restricted. I’m hoping the larger pair will meet my needs for comfort, looseness, and ease of movement.

As far as quality is concerned, they seem to be very simple, lightweight, acrylic or poly material, like a bathing suit. Only time will tell if they can stand up to sun and saltwater.
